Palm Beach to Stuart Fla with friends and family on board

Day 2 in Palm Beach (generator problem caused us to stay an extra day in paradise) Daughter Robin at the beach.  A fifteen minet walk from the our slip at the dock.  With a new heat switch installed on the genset Great Escape will be ready to go in the morning.

Boat acrost Lake Worth from us.  Think they envy us not having to hire a crew?

Free troley trip to the "Greater Gator" was a must.

Leaving Sail Fish Marina (and Palm Beach) with the generator repaired. we're heading up the ICW ( intercostal waterway) to Jupiter Fla and then to Stuart Fla on the St Lucie River (and the begining of the Okeechobee Waterway). Rainbow in backround.

ICW on the way

Jupiter Lighthouse off our port bow while approaching the Jupiter inlet

Harborage Yacht Club Marina. (a very fancy place)  I'v never seen anything like this place before!

My cousin Ira who lives in Stuart with his wife Paula joined us for dinner at the yach club.  Ira manufactures "high end" furniture for people like Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh.  He also is a past president of the "Florida Rare Fruit Growers" and is well known around the state for his hobby.  Paula writes a colum in the Stuart newspaper on gardening.

Jon and I pose in frount of an outside bar at the club.  Note the shark eating a swimmer.  Tomorrow we leave on the Okeechobee waterway to our first lock to get to Lake Okeechobee.
